Caffeinated Coffee Reduces Oral Cancer

The results of this study were posted online this month in The American Journal of Epidemiology and in today’s NY Times Well Blog.

Researchers found the risk of death from oral or throat cancer was 26 percent lower among those who drank one cup of caffeinated coffee a day, 33 percent lower among those who drank two to three cups daily, and 50 percent lower among those who drank four to six cups daily. These results were compared with those who drank caffeine-free coffee and tea.

I drink one cup of caffeinated coffee a day and I got oral cancer. How many cups do you drink?
